Harold G. Leech, 76, 1302 S. 11th St., died Monday at the Mahaska County Hospital.
On Aug. 19, 1905, he was born at Afton, the son of Elmer and Myrtle Pearl Donner Leech. On Sept.18,1926, he was married to Alice Johnson at Escanaba, Mich.
For 50 years he was in the dairy business and owned and operated Edgetowne Dairy in Oskaloosa retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Eagles, the Elks, and the Oskaloosa Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; one son, Eugene "Gene" of Oskaloosa, one daughter Mrs. Marion (Charlene) Van Gorp Jr. of Oskaloosa, six grandchildren, Michael, Patricia, Karen, Kara Leech, Janice Broyles and Jeff Elliott; and two great-grandchildren, Heather Dawn and Sean Broyles.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Newman funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Troxler officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery.
Memorials may abe designated to the Mahaska Diamond Shelter and may be left at the funeral home.
