OBITUARY OF ALICE COVEY (from an unidentified newspaper clipping)

Miss Alice May Covey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Covey, was born March 16th, 1902, and departed this life at Givin, Iowa, October 16th, 1919, at the age of 17 years, 7 months, and 3 days.

Alice's brief life was spent near Givin where she made may acquaintances. In her going we say goodby with sad hearts, but let us look forward to a grand reunion on that eternal shore.

She leaves to mourn her death her father and mother, a brother and sister. The funeral services were held from her late home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Elder G.W.Barnett who had been a life long friend.

Interment was made at Henness cemetery. A large number of sympathizing friends and schoolmates attended the funeral.
