Wade Hampton Roquet of Plum Creek Township KS passed away at 6:30 O'clock this morning, August 2, 1935. Heart failure brought death to this well known farmer. He was born on Jun 17, 1967 in Mahaska County, Iowa, came to this vicinity in 1881. His marriage to Olive Birt took place March 12, 1898 at Mankato, Kansas and his widow and these children survive him; sons Gail Birt, Paul Wade., Oral E, and Dr. Rollo R, all of Beloit, a sister, Miss Minnie Roquet and a brother Harry D, also mourn his death.

When he was a young man, he joined the Methodist Church. He had been a kind husband and father. A highly respected citizen of the community, and an energetic and able man. We join his other friends in extending sympathy to his bereaved ones.

Funeral servies will be conducted by Rev. Wm. Little at the Baptist Church, Sunday afternoon at five o'clock. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
