CONNIE L. SILVERS

Connie L. Russell Silvers, 48, of 512 South H Street, Oskaloosa, died Saturday, March 4, 1989 at Mahaska County Hospital. She was born Oct. 27, 1940, in Mahaska County, the daughter of Arthur Russell and Lucille Gregson.

She was a graduate of North Mahaska High School and a member of the Taintor Methodist Church. She had worked as a rose grader at DeJong Greenhouse. She married Richard Earl Silvers, Jr., in Oskaloosa, on July 3, 1978.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, two sons, Bryan Burgett of Lynnville, and Jackie Norris of Kansas City, Mo.; a step-granddaughter, Olivia Burgett; her mother, Lucille (Mrs. John) Smith of Searsboro; and her father, Arthur Russell of Oskaloosa.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Russell Norris.

Services were held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamnp Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Alvern Boetsma of the Good News Chapel officiating. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery in New Sharon.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Mahaska County.

The Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
