Mrs. John F. Ream died at the Oskaloosa hospital April 24, 1916, at 7 o’clock p.m., aged 58 years. Mrs. Ream underwent an operation for appendicitis on April 16, and while the operation was entirely successful, she was unable to withstand the shock to the system. She leaves besides her husband, Senator John R. Ream, two daughters, Mrs. J. Miller Beard, of this city and Mrs. Robert Howe, who lives on the Knoxville road. Funeral services were held from the home in Beacon on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment in the Beacon cemetery.
