GILBERT

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Violetta Gilbert, 92, University Park, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Powers Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Lindsey officiating.

Burial was at University Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Gilbert died Monday at Mahaska Manor.

She was born near Garden Grove, the daughter of Samuel and Frances Jane Kimberline Sheline, and had been a long time resident of University Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archer Gilbert, and two children, Joseph and Peggy.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gordon (Beulah) Scott, San Jose, Calif.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Fred (Beverly) Schreiber, and three great grandchildren, all of Eureka, Calif.
