Oct. 21, 1912

Died at her home, the residence of her niece, Mrs. O. D. Chapman, at 6:45 o'clock a. m. Monday, October 21, 1912, Miss Dora Blakley, aged 82 years. Deceased came to Iowa in the year of 1867, and has resided in Beacon for six years. Another nephew, William Blakley, resides at Delta. "Auntie," as she was known by all, had been in fairly good health up until three weeks ago, when she was taken ill and from which she never rallied. Her death was due to old age. Loving hands done all that was possible to do, but she was called home, to be with those who have gone before. The funeral was held Wednesday, October 23, at Olivet, conducted by Rev. J. E. Cavin, and interment made in the Olivet cemetery. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved.
