Mrs. Faye ABERNATHY of Ottumwa [Wapello Co., IA] died January 1 at the age of 77 years.

She was born Dec. 1, 1894, in Mahaska County, [IA] the daughter of Samuel and Jane SHEETS TENNIS and had lived in Ottumwa since 1966.

She was married to Ted R. ABERNATHY, Oct. 10, 1922, in Oskaloosa. [Mahaska Co., IA]. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie FOUNTAIN of Agency [IA]; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one brother, Otis TENNIS of Cambridge, MN.

The service was Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Russell of the Willard Street United Methodist Church [Ottumwa, IA] in charge. Burial was in the Westview Cemetery at Kirkville [Wapello Co., IA].
