The New Sharon Star, February 22, 1940. Funeral of Mrs. Garfield STROM Held Feb. 16. Funeral services for Mrs. Garfield STROM, aged 58, were held at the Friends church in New Sharon, Friday afternoon, with the pastor, the Rev. L. SAMS in charge. Burial was made in the Friends Cemetery. Mrs. STROM, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sam FLORENCE, was born near New Sharon. She was married to Garfield STROM, November 1, 1911, and has lived in New Sharon most of the time since the marriage. She is survived by her husband, four children by a former marriage; one son, Virgil of California, three daughters, Minnie of California, Mrs. Charles SUGGETT and Mrs. Mabel HAILEY of Oskaloosa and one sister, Laura. Mrs. STROM was a good neighbor and always ready to help in times of trouble as long as her health permitted
