Can anyone provide me with John Wayne's maternal grandmother's maiden name? I know that Mary Alberta Brown (John Wayne's mother) was the daughter of Robert E. & Margaret/Maggie Brown.
According to my father Mrs. Morrison and the children stayed at the Ryan farm in Crawford Twp. for a short spell sometime after 1910. The father (Clyde Morrison )left for California to find work and the mother and children followed a little while later.
As the story goes my dad's mother Mary Rose Maher was related to Marion's (John Wayne) mother. I believe that relation is through Mary Brown's mother Margaret/Maggie. Unfortunately, I do not know her maiden name. Can anyone provide that information?????
