JAMES GILLESPIE 16TH IOWA VOL INF

Greetings from Belfast. I am in contact with a descendant relative here in Ireland of Pvte James Gillespie of the 16th Vo. Inf. James farmed in Madison Co.and died there. His grave was visited in 1983 but the exact location of the graveyard has been lost. Can anyone supply grave details or perhaps a photo of it or what we think was St.Patricks church and graveyard. This relative recalls going to a graveyard near "Churchill" and a wooden church visited by the Pope many years ago.Does this ring any bells with any of you.Any snippit of information greatly appreciated.
