Orson Rush Dies of Heart Attack

Funeral Services Planned From Ramsey - Richards

Orson Rush, a widely known Madison county resident for many years, died suddenly Saturday when stricken with a heart attack as he was working at the Carl Gibbon farm near Winterset. He was 58 years of age.

Mr. Rush was a native of Van Meter, where he was born on Sept. 24, 1885, and where he spent his early years. He was married there on Jan. 16, 1907, to Maggie Groves. They started housekeeping on a farm in the Early Chapel neighborhood, living there until moving to Winterset a few years ago.

Mr. Rush was a member of the Early Chapel Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife and the following children: Robert of Winterset, Carl of Washington state, Guy of Des Moines, Russell of Winterset, Leota of Medford, Ore., and Glen of Winterset. He also leaves a brother, Lee Rush of West Des Moines, and a sister, Mrs. Retta Mozena of Belle Plaine.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial will be made in a cemetery in Jackson township.

HOLD SERVICE FOR CHARLES O. RUSH

Charles O. Rush, of Winterset, died here Saturday morning, October 23, at the Evan farm three miles northwest of Macksburg where he was employed at the time.

Funeral services will be held today, October 28, in the Ramsey-Richards Funeral Home at two o’clock. Rev. Tom Foglesong will be in charge of the service. Interment will be made in the Pitzer cemetery.

Mr. Rush, whose home has been in Winterset, has four sons living in and around here.
