Thomas W. Kelly, son of Malachi and Mary Kelly, was born in Stacksted, Lancastershire, England, July 29, 1854. He passed away at his home in Macksburg, Nov. 27, 1924, at the age of 70 years and 4 months.

In 1898, he was united in marriage to Mary Wieland at Philadelphia, Pa. To this union five children were born and of this number they are four living.

Those who so deeply mourn their loss are his wife, who resides in Macksburg; his four sons: Harry M., quartermaster in the U.S. Navy, stationed at San Diego, Calif.; Rev. Thos. G., of Millerton, Iowa; Stephen R., sergeant in the U.S. army, stationed at Honolulu; H. T. and Frances L., formerly of Attleboro, Mass. Mr. Kelly was a member of the First Baptist church of Attleboro, Mass.

Through the suffering that was his lot to bear, he showed his faith in Christ by being ready, even anxious, to meet his Heavenly Father.

The funeral service was conducted Tuesday by Rev. Lawrence Athey, assisted by Rev. O. E. Cooley, at Macksburg, and interment was made at that place.
