CRAWFORD

Mr. Slaten, a former resident of this place, died at his home in South township last week. Mr. Slaten has been in poor health for many months.

Transcriber's note: Per Madison County Death Records, B. C. Slayden died in Crawford Township, April 5, 1903 and is buried in Blair Chapel Cemetery. His age was 63 making his year of birth about 1840. His gravestone says he died April 6, 1893. The deceased was in Crawford Township censuses from 1880 through 1900.
