Mrs. W. P. Bancroft

Died on July 26, 1925, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Alice the beloved wife of Rev. W. P. Bancroft, after an illness of a few months. She was born in Jefferson county, Iowa, January 25, 1879; being 49 years old.

She was converted at an early age and joined the Baptist church at Fairfield, Iowa. After her marriage she transferred her membership to the Evangelical denomination, her husband being a minister in that denomination.

She leaves her husband and three children, Mrs. Clarence Marble, living in Lincoln Nebraska; Celia Marie, who is at home and a son, Paul, living at home and a sister, Mrs. John Litton, who lives in Winterset.

She was beloved by all who knew her, and a true help mate to her husband in his work, a very devoted mother to her children and a good worker in her church. She will be greatly missed wherever known.

Rev. and Mrs. Bancroft lived several years in Madison County and he preached in the old Bethany church in Monroe township.
