FERN L. MILLER

Fern L. Miller, 77, of 119 E. 29th St. died of a heart attack Wednesday at home. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born in Madison County and had lived in Des Moines since 1944. She was a retired nurses’ aide at Des Moines General Hospital.

Surviving are a son, Everett Cumings of Des Moines; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Strahan of Fort Collins, Colo.; a stepson, Leonard of Indianola; three sisters, Wilda McManus of Des Moines, Aletha Bussanmas of Bevington and Georgia Cumings of Winterset; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
