Services for Earnest Wayne Cumings, 31, of 355 N. W. Aurora ave., who died of lung cancer Wednesday at Veterans Hospital, will be at 1:30 p. m. Friday at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Born in Madison County, Mr. Cumings lived in Des Moines 18 years and was a tire builder for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. He attended East High School and Des Moines Technical High School. He had been ill since last October.
He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and United Rubber Workers of America Union, Local 310.
Surviving are his widow, Betty; two sons, Edward, 8, and Bennet, 4; two daughters, Luanne, 7, and Laura, 6; his mother, Mrs. Fern Miller, and stepfather, Ben Miller, both of Kellerton; a brother, Everett of Des Moines, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Strahan of Denver, Colo.
