Frank Evison Dead at 85

A resident of Madison County for three-quarters of a century, Frank L. Evison, 85, died May 29, 1976 at Memorial Hospital in Winterset. He was born January 12, 1891 in Crawford County, Iowa.

The son of Robert Evison and Rachel Vanderwater, Frank Evison was a veteran of World War I. He worked as a farmer and was an employee of Madison County Auction sale barn.

Survivors include a brother, Jay C. Evison of Winterset; two nephews, Walton Rundlett of Escondido, Calif., and Walter Evison of Truro, Iowa and three nieces, Mrs. Karl Smith, Mrs. Etta Bailey, both of Winterset, and Mrs. Carl McMichael of Truro.

Funeral services for Frank Evison were conducted Tuesday, June 1, at 10:30 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home, Rev. Paul Hann officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
