Wilma Frances Hess, 73, of Heritage Manor, 5608 S.W. Ninth St., died of a heart ailment there Tuesday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Southtown Funeral Home, with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Hess, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a retired sales clerk for Kresge.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary Devine of Des Moines, Patricia Williams of Macomb, Mich., Sandra McCormick of Stuart and Deanna Krieger of Baxter, four sons, Robert and Thomas, both of Des Moines, Frederick of Normal, Ill., and Joseph of Adair; two sisters, Jean Spencer of Norwalk and Shirley Ritter of Des Moines; two brothers, Charles Boylan and Donald Boylan, both of Des Moines; her stepmother, Gladys Boylan of Des Moines; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
