NORA J. SNOW

Nora Johanna Lee, daughter of John and Ruth Lee, was born November 16, 1881 in Lyon County, Iowa. Her life closed on August 23, 1960 at the Madison County Memorial hospital in Winterset. She came to Madison County when a small child. She was married to Fred B. Snow on August 5, 1905. Mr. Snow’s death occurred March 22, 1935.

Nora was a member of the Presbyterian church of Earlham. During her active years she gave liberally of her time to the activities of the church and the community. The friendships she created were true and lasting and were a blessing to her in later years when ill health forced her to leave her home to be cared for by others.

Mrs. Snow is survived by her sister, Mrs. Bertha Dykstra of Orange City, Iowa, distant relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 26, at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Delbert E. Welty form the Presbyterian Church in Earlham.

Interment was made in the Earlham cemetery.

MRS NORA J. SNOW DIED HERE TUESDAY

Mrs. Nora J. Snow, a lifelong resident of Madison county, died this Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 78 years of age and had been a patient at the hospital since Aug. 16.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bertha Dykstra of Orange City.

Funeral services have been set tentatively for Friday afternoon from the Presbyterian church in Earlham.
