CARVER PURSEL GUIBERSON

Carver Pursel Guiberson was born in Madison county, Iowa, on March 25, 1868, and died at the home of his sister, Neva E. Lucas on the morning of January 1, 1919.

He grew to manhood in Madison County, Iowa , and at the age of twenty went to Colorado and there spent almost 30 years of his life working in the gold and silver mines. In June 1917 he returned to Madison county and spent the remaining days of his life with his sister. He bore his sickness with great patience and always looked on the bright side of life, with the belief that he would soon be able to return to Colorado where he had spent so much of his life.

In November 1901 he was united in marriage to Miss Maggie Kelly, of Telluride, Colorado, who died in the spring of 1907. He leaves two brothers, Fred Guiberson, of Hamilton, Missouri, and Tom Guiberson, of Winterset, and one sister, Neva E. Lucas, of Winterset.

Funeral services were held at the residence, January 3, conducted by Rev. Giddens. Interment was made in the Rock City cemetery.
