Life-Long Resident of This Community Was 84 Years of Age
Marley O. Taylor of Winterset died at a nursing home here Friday, Oct. 12, at the age of 84 years.
Mr. Taylor was a son of Levi and Louisa Taylor. He was born near Winterset, Jan. 12, 1872, and spent his entire life in this community. His active years were spent in farming.
He was married to Minnie Penn on Dec. 6, 1893. They were parents of three children.
In early life he united with the Methodist church, later transferring to the First Presbyterian church of Winterset, retaining that membership throughout his life.
Surviving are a son, Alvin L. Taylor of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. J. B. Felton of Indianola; two grandchildren, Earl J. Breeding of Omaha and Gloria L. Taylor of Des Moines; and a brother V. F. Taylor of Winterset.
Funeral services were held from the Richards Funeral home Sunday, conducted by the Rev. George DeF. Fisher, pastor of the Winterset Presbyterian church. Burial was made in Winterset cemetery.
