ORPHA M. WIGHT, Winterset

Graveside services for Orpha M. Wight, 97, Winterset, who died Feb. 18, 1989, at the Care Center South where she resided, were held Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. David Baur officiating.

Born in Madison County on July 7, 1891, she was the daughter of Jacobe and Etta Snyder Banker. She was a clothing alterator and a lifetime resident of Madison County.

On Jan. 18, 1916, she was married to Wallace Wight in Madison County.

Survivors include a sister, Mariam Fife of Winterset. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and a sister.
