Olevia Montgomery was born January 2, 1845 at Moreland, Ohio and departed this life April 19, 1913, aged 68 years, 2 months and seventeen days.

She moved to Iowa in 1853 settling in Union township, Madison County, Iowa.

She was married to John A. Faurote February 14, 1867. She was the mother of five children, four of whom are living.

She was baptized May 13, 1849 and in early life joined the M. E. Church. She became a member of the Winterset M. E. Church during the pastorate of C. H. Newell in 1881, joining with her husband by letter. She has been a consistant, active and beloved member of the church and Sunday School and also the W. R. C., in which she was a tireless worker, exemplifying her Christianity by deeds of love, acts of kindness and loving service for others.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hohanshelt at the M. E. Church at 2:30. The W. R. C. were present in a body.

Interment in Rock City Cemetery.

Olevia Montgomery was born Jan. 2, 1845 at Moreland, Ohio, and died at her home in Winterset, April 19, 1913, aged 68 years, 2 months and 17 days. She moved to Iowa in 1853, settling in Union township, Madison county.

She was married to John A. Faurote Feb. 14, 1867. She was the mother of five children, four of whom are living.

She was baptized May 13, 1849 and in early life joined the M.E. church. By letter she became a member of the Winterset M.E. society in 1881, during the pastorate of Rev. C. H. Newell. She was, during the best of her life, an active worker in the church, Sunday school and W.R.C., exemplifying her Christianity by deeds of love, acts of kindness, and loving service for others. She had a large place in the affections of a host of friends.

The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Hohanshelt, from the church Monday at 2:30. The W.R.C. attended in a body. A beautiful floral tribute adorned her casket.
