Wednesday, May 4, 1977, page 4Funeral services were held Saturday, April 23, at 10:30 a.m., from the Earlham United Methodist Church for Ernest R. Brown.
He was born to Fred E. and Lela Brown at Spencer, Iowa on May 29, 1905; and passed away at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset, April 20, 1977.
Mr. Brown was married to Anna Hochstetler on November 21, 1932, and to this union were born three children, Mary (Mrs. Jay) Wildin, St. Charles, Lela Brown, West Des Moines and Donald Brown, Winterset.
Besides his wife and children, survivors include six grandchildren, one great grandchild, two sisters, Stella Olson of Earlham and Cynthia Wright of Largo, Florida.
Ernest was a retired farmer living the most of his life in and around Earlham. He was a member of the Worthington United Methodist Church.
Burial was made at the Earlham Cemetery.
