Mrs. Blanche P. Brock, a Madison County native and former Winterset resident, died at Methodist Medical Center in St. Joseph, Missouri on November 10, 1974, following a brief illness. She was 92 years of age.

Blanche Pearl Brock was born in Madison County on July 24, 1882, the daughter of Andrew and Caroline Welty Hart. She was a graduate of Simpson College and traveled rural Iowa on horseback giving music lessons.

Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis, in April 1934.

She was the oldest woman member of the Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, in the chapel of the Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jay O. Purviance presiding. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
