MRS. NANNIE DUNLAP DIES

Mrs. Nannie Dunlap, daughter of Reuben and Rebecca True Kale, and well known Madison County pioneer resident, died at her home in Los Angeles, California, Wednesday, October 20th, 1937, at two o'clock. She was past 90 years of age, and had been in poor health the last few weeks. Mrs. Dunlap lived for many years in this county, and it was here that her husband, the late Alex Dunlap died in 1922. In 1925, Mrs. Dunlap moved to California to be near her daughters.

The remains are being brought to Winterset late Sunday night, and funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist Church, Monday afternoon, Oct. 25th at 2 o'clock. Three daughters, Mrs. H. N. Foster and Mrs. Tom Simpson of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Earl Waters of Rocky Ford will accompany the body here. She leaves another daughter, Mrs. C. B. Forbes of Kellogg, Idaho who is unable to attend the funeral services. She is also survived by Glenn Foster of Winterset who is a grandson of Mrs. Dunlap.

MRS. ALEX DUNLAP DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Services for Mrs. Alex Dunlap, 90, long time resident of Madison county who died October 20 in Los Angeles, California, were held here Monday afternoon at two o’clock at the Methodist church with the Rev. M. R. Talley in charge. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.

Mrs. Dunlap was Nannie Kale, daughter of Reuben and Rebecca Kale who came here in 1854 from Ohio, where she was born in Tuscarawas county, January 10, 1847.

In 1865 she joined the Church of Christ and after the Methodist church. At the tiem of her death she was a member of the Normandie Methodist church in Los Angeles. She was one of the charter members of the Winterset chapter of Order of Eastern Stars, organized here October 23, 1895. She was married in 1868, her husband dying in 1922.

Mrs. Dunlap leaves her four daughters, Mrs. Callie Foster, and Mrs. Eva Simpson of Los Angeles; Mrs. Bertha Forbes of Kellogg, Idaho; and Mrs Edna Watters of Rocky Ford, Colorado.
