JOHN D. KASER, Winterset

Funeral services were held last Friday from Collins Funeral home in Winterset for John D. Kaser, whose death had occurred July 18 at Memorial hospital here. The Rev. Robert A. Owens pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset, officiated at the services. Burial was made in Glendale cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Kaser was 66 years of age at his death. He was a native of Illinois, where he was born at Dallas City on July 16, 1896, a son of John D. and Hattie Cheadle Kaser. He graduated from Iowa State college at Ames, and served in the U.S. Armed forces during World War I.

He was married at Clinton on Aug. 4, 1923 to June H. Ericson, who survives him.

Following his graduation from Iowa State college, he was employed by the Iowa Highway commission for a number of years, continuing with them until 1929. At that time he organized and was a member of the firm of Kaser Construction Company at Adel. After a period in that enterprise, he went into farming, continuing in that during the remainder of his active life.

He had lived at Winterset the last 21 years. He was a member of the American Legion, and the Christian church at Adel.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a brother, E. L. Kaser of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. R. M. Rainwater of Sigourney.
