NORMA FOGLER ZIEMANN

Norma Eloise Ziemann, 76, of Van Meter died July 23, 2002, of complications from heart surgery at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church of rural Van Meter with Pastor Arno Melz officiating. Burial was at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Norma Ziemann was born Sept. 14, 1925, to Guye Edwin and Fern Cora (Frey) Fogler of Patterson. She married Don C. Ziemann on June 15, 1945, in Van Meter. A lifetime resident of Madison County, she was retired as the secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church. Norma was a member of the Women's Farm Bureau and Trinity Lutheran Church of Van Meter. She also was active in Pork Producers and 4-H.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and a sister.

She is survived by her husband, Don, of Van Meter; two sons, Dennis Ziemann(wife Julia) and Mark Ziemann, both of Van Meter; a daughter, Marty Albert (husband Mick) of Norwalk; a brother, Frank Fogler of Atchison, Kan. and seven grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
