Irene Waddingham, 78, of Macksburg died May 13, 1999 at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center.

Services will be 2 p.m. May 17 at Coen-Beaty Funeral Home, Creston, with the Rev. Clyde Sparks officiating. Private family services will be held at a later date in the Moon Cemetery at Macksburg.

Mrs. Waddingham was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Klemme to John and Edna (Schuldt) Suckow. On Sept. 18, 1941, she married Arnett Leroy Waddingham in Nashua. She was a homemaker and sold Avon. She farmed with her husband in the Ventura and Clear Lake area before moving to a farm near Macksburg in 1967. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Macksburg, Monroe Friendly Circle Club and Woman's Relief Corps.

Survivors include six sons, Tim Waddingham, Steven (wife Debbie) Waddingham and Kevin (wife Cindy) Waddingham, all of Macksburg; Michael (wife Marlene) Waddingham of Lorimor, Richard (wife Mindy) Waddingham of Cromwell and Terry (wife Carla) Waddingham of Peru; three daughters, Vicky (husband Rick) Blair of Lorimor, Connie Stonehocker of Earlham and Debra (husband James) Eyerly of Midlothian, Va., a sister, Helen Roths of Klemme; 16 grandchildren; one step-grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Kenneth Waddingham, a brother, Wesley Suckow; a grandson and a great-grandson.
