John Estle Died Here Last Friday

Well-Known Citizen Had Spent Entire Life on Farm in Jackson Township

John Estle, widely-known Jackson township farmer, died at the Winterset hospital last Friday after a long illness. For more than a year he had been troubled with a heart ailment, and had spent most of the past six months in hospitals. He was 74 years of age.

Mr. Estle was a life-long resident of Jackson township, having been born and spent his entire life on a farm southwest of Pitzer. He was the son of Richard and Margaret Estle.

He was married Sept. 10, 1891, to Elizabeth Ann Crawford. They were the parents of two daughters, both of whom survive.

He leaves his wife and the two daughters, Mrs. Amy Drake and Mrs. Angie Beaman, both of this county; two grandchildren, three nephews, and one niece.

Funeral services were held Sunday from Anderson's Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. A. R. Weed and W. M. Hartin. Burial was made in the Roberts cemetery.
