Alma Bertha Wildin, 90 of Winterset, died of a heart ailment June 22, 1996 at her home. Funeral services were June 24 at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. The Rev. Don Frank officiated the services and burial was at the Montpelier Cemetery in Patterson.

She was born Sept 14, 1905 in Underwood to Wilhelm Henry and Laura Louise (Tetzloff) Krueger. She married Ed Wildin on August 30, 1930 at Underwood. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Madison County since 1938. She was a member of the Federated Music Club; Hoosier Prairie Club; Farm Bureau Women; Sweet Adeline's; UMW Circle; and the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. She had volunteered many hours playing the piano for different organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one grandson.

Surviving relatives include her husband of Winterset; two sons, Jay Wildin and wife Mary of St. Charles and Jack Wildin and wife Janice of Van Meter; one daughter, Carol Bass and husband Tom of Winterset; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
