BILL GOOD Died Friday

September 27, 1972

William T. Good, one of Winterset's most respected citizens for 32 years, died unexpectedly Friday night, Sept. 22, 1972, at his home in Winterset. He was 63 years of age.

Mr. Good had operated the Good Bakery in Winterset since moving to this community in 1940. During his life here, he had been extremely active in many phases of community affairs. He was a member of the Winterset Fire Department for many years, serving as assisant chief, and was an honorary member at his death. He was a past member of the Winterset Lions club and was active in the Lakeview Country Club, and a member of the Madison County Sportsman's Club and the W.H.S. Quarterback Club.

Mr. Good was a native of Harrison County, where he was born February 21, 1909, a son of William and Cora Ellen Allen Good. He was married at Spencer on June 14, 1937 to Dorothy Howe. Her death occurred on February 4 of this year.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Good is survived by four sons, Stephen H. Good of Ottumwa, Douglas I. Good of Akron, Ohio, Thomas A. Good of Houston, Texas and Gregory G. Good of Seattle, Washington; a daughter, Deborah Good of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandsons; three granddaughters; and two sisters, Mrs. Myrl McKenny of Somers and Mrs. Ernest Vale of Inglewood, Colorado.

Funeral services were held Monday from the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. John E. Fink. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
