MRS. L. L. BLOMGREN Died Tuesday

Mrs. L. L. (Alletha) Blomgren, well known Winterset resident, died at the Madison County Memorial Hospital Monday night, March 27, 1972, at the age of 79 years. Mrs. Blomgren had been in failing health for the past six months with a heart conditions, but had recently been better. She became ill last Thursday and was taken to the hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Blomgren will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church Thursday afternoon, March 30th, at 2 p.m., with the pastor, the Rev. John F. Fink, officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.

Mrs. Blomgren was the former Alletha Brown, daughter of Charles W. and Corgie Black Brown. She was born in Linden, Iowa, March 19, 1893, but moved to this county over 70 years ago with her parents. She attended the local schools and was graduated from the high school here. She is a long time member of the First United Presbyterian Church and attended as long as her health permitted.

She was married to Laurence L. Blomgren, April 1, 1916, and they established their home in Winterset and lived here with the exception of several years in Evansville, Indiana. In addition to her church organization, she belonged to several social clubs.

Mr. Blomgren died November 16, 1970.

Mrs. Blomgren is survived by their one son, Paul B. Blomgren of Northridge, California, and four grandchildren, Captain Paul B. Blomgren, Jr. Savannah, Georgia, Richard Blomgren of Missoula, Montana, and Barbara and Robert Blomgren of Los Angeles. She also leaves a great grandson Eric Laurence of Missoula. Twin nieces of the Blomgrens have visited here frequently, Mrs. Phil Pacheco and Mrs. William Frey of Denver. An Uncle, Harry Black of Winterset, also survives.
