Forrest Wayne McDonald, 60, passed away Sunday January 19, 1992 at the Omaha Veterans Hospital. Memorial services were held Tuesday Jan 21st at the Christian Church in Lenox with Rev. Max Nelson officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date in the Moon Cemetery at Macksburg, Iowa.

He was born August 3, 1931 in Afton to the late John and Viva McDonald. He attended school in Afton. Wayne was a Korean War Veteran. After two years of active duty, he returned to Creston and became an employee of Anderson-Erickson Dairy Company for several years. Later he moved to Lenox doing carpenter work until his health failed.

He was a member of the Parkenson Legion Post 250 of Lenox.

He leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Betty, three daughters, Diane (husband Mark) Wingo, Susan McDonald of Longmont, Colo., and Brenda (husband Timothy) Clayton of Grose Point, Michigan; two sons, Christopher (wife Diane) of Peabody, Kansas, and Rodney (wife Margaret) of Longmont, Colo., three stepsons, Walter, Joseph and Benjamin Meir and one step-daughter, Catherine Bagley; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and three step grandchildren; four sisters Eleanor (husband Gale) Hammans, Ruby Dibel, Bonnie (LaVon) Pulliam of Phoenix Arizona, and Leona (husband Ralph) Kirkland; four brothers, LeRoy (wife Hazel), J. R. (wife Beulah)of Creston, Dean (wife Donna) of Diagonal, and Dale (wife Caroline) of Rockport, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and LaVern.
