VIVIAN LATHRUM Funeral Held Saturday

Mrs. Vivian B. Lathrum, a lifetime resident of Madison County and active member of the Winterset community, died Jan. 10, 1972 in Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 56 years old.

Mrs. Lathrum was born in Madison County on April 23, 1916, the daughter of John L. and Ruth Young Gamble. Her marriage to Sam D. Lathrum took place on Nov. 4, 1934 in Creston, Iowa.

Her activities included membership in the WW club, AVA club, and WSCS at the First United Methodist Church of Winterset with which she was affiliated.

Mrs. Lathrum is survived by her husband, two sons, Ed Lathrum of Winterset and Gary Lathrum of Menomonee Falls, Wisc.; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. George Jackson of Winterset; and three brothers, Russel and Harold Gamble of Carlisle, Ia. and Cleo Gamble of West Des Moines.

Mrs. Lahrum was preceeded in death by her parents; a son, Rex; and an infant sister, Jesse.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 13 at 1:30 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church, Winterset. Burial was at Union Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Newton M. Coughenour conducted the services.
