Mrs. Ida M. Crawford, life-long resident of Madison County died Sunday, July 2, 1950, at the age of 83 years. She had been in failing health for several years.
Mrs. Crawford was the former Ida Davis, daughter of Joseph and Jane Davis. She was born in Madison County May 3, 1867. As a young woman she was married to Charley Crawford. They lived on a farm north of Patterson for many years.
They moved into Winterset 22 years ago and two years later Mr. Crawford's death occurred here.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lucinda Lavalleur of Winterset and Mrs. Cleo Douglas of Carlsbad, N.Mex.; a son, Squire Crawford of Indianola; a grandaughter and great granddaughter Mrs. Carolyn Cohee and Donna Jane of Winterset; two grandsons, Emory James and John Charles Douglas of Carlsbad; and a niece Jettie Davis of Winterset.
Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Anderson Home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist Church. Burial was made in the Montpelier Cemetery at Patterson.
