Colleen White, 95, of Macksburg died Monday Jan 15, 1995 at the Winterset Care Center North.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Macksburg. The Rev. Kathy Raines will officiate the service with burial in the Moon Cemetery, Macksburg. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday with a family night from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Keating-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home, Creston.Mrs. White was born May 2, 1894, in Polk County to Mr. and Mrs. William Trunnell. She married Robert White Jan. 25, 1911, in Santiago and he preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1975.
She grew up in Santiago and after her marriage lived in Colfax for many years. She moved to Macksburg in 1969 and entered the nursing home in January 1983.
Survivors include three daughters, Alice (Mrs. Leonard) Bell of Westminister, Calif. Flossie (Mrs. Melvin) Rexroat of Pocatello, Idaho and La Rita (Mrs. Jack) Andis of Sacramento, Calif.; a son, Jesse White of Urbandale; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Lillian White of Macksburg; a sister, Edythe (Mrs. Clair) Mendenhall of Pleasant Hill; and a brother, Leonard (wife Marguerite) Trunnell of Prairie City.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Bill in December 1988.

Services for Coleen White, 95, Macksburg, who died January 15 at the Winterset Care Center North, were held at the United Methodist Church in Macksburg on Fri. Jan. 19, with the Rev. Kathy Raines officiating. Burial was in the Moon Cemetery at Macksburg.
Born in Polk County on May 2, 1894, she was the daughter of William and Lozemba Walker Trunnell. She was married on January 25, 1911 to Robert White at Santiago, Iowa. She grew up in that area and moved to Colfax and then to Macksburg in 1969. She had been in the nursing home since 1983 and was a member of the WRC in Macksburg and the O.E.S. in Colfax.
Survivors include daughters, Alice Bell and husband Leonard of Westminister, Calif., Flossie Rexroat and husband Melvin of Pocatello, Idaho, LaRita Andis and husband Jack of Sacramento, Calif.; a son, Jesse White of Urbandale; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Lillian White of Macksburg; a sister, Edythe Mendenhall and husband Clair of Pleasant Hill; and a brother, Leonard Trunnell and wife Marguerite of Prairie City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son.
