Services for Floyd F. Eivins, 87, Winterset, who died Aug. 23 at the Care Center North where he resided, were held Sauurday Aug. 26, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Kathy Raines officiating. Burial was at the Moon Cemetery in Macksburg.

Born in Orient on Jan. 18, 1902, he was the son of Isaac and Ida (Bates) Eivins. A retired farmer, he was raised and lived on the same family farm since he was six weeks old. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel Church and IOOF Lodge of Macksburg.

On Feb. 10 1938, he was married in Winterset to Ruth Young.

Survivors include sons, Everett of St. Joseph, Mo., Arnold of Ceresco, Neb., and Marvin and Harvey, both of Winterset; a daughter, Velma Frantum of Macksville, Kan., a brother Doyle of Ankeny; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, an infant daughter, a brother and three sisters.
