Lester Yetter died at West Des Moines

Former Winterset Resident Succumbs at Age of 48 Years

Lester M. Yetter, former resident of Winterset, died at his home in West Des Moines Saturday, March 19. Death came suddenly, at the age of 48 years.

Mr. Yetter lived in Winterset from 1930 until about 1942. He worked as a truck driver much of the time during his residence here.

A native of Maquoketa, he spent his early life in North Dakota and Montana. He was married in 1927 to Clara Johnson of Winterset. They were the parents of four children. The wife and mother died in 1937. After moving to West Des Moines, he was married to Lena Rankin in 1943.

Surviving are his wife, the four children, Mrs. Lucille Henry, Delbert, Charles and Mary Yetter, all of West Des Moines.

Funeral services were held at West Des Moines last Thursday, and burial was made at Greenfield.
