Dr. Paul E. Eggleston, formerly of Winterset, age 84, of Willmar, Minn. died Jan. 18 at the Christian Nursing Center there.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Jan) Enockson of Willmar and two grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Blanche Taake of Des Moines, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Willmar, with Rev. Dennis Hier officiating. Interment was in Fairview cemetery.

Dr. Eggleston was born on May 4, 1903 in Osceola, Iowa, the son of Dora and Richard Eggleston. He grew up in Osceola and graduated from the Des Moines West High school. He also graduated from Drake university where he was a member of the football team.

He graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines and practiced in Weldon and Winterset. He also was the Madison county coroner for many years.

On June 19, 1933, he was married to Gladys B. Weeda. He was a member of various professional medical organizations, the Lions Club and a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Iowa.

Following his retirement in 1970, he and his wife moved to Des Moines, and in 1982, moved to Willmar. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, (Gladys in 1987), a brother, and a sister.
