GEORGE BRUETT

George F. Bruett, a well known retired farmer, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the home of his son, Walter Bruett, in Webster township. He was 84 years of age.

Mr. Bruett spent a life-time in the Early Chapel area. For the last three years he had made his home with his son, Walter and family, and prior to that had spent two years with his daughter, Mrs. Ralph Mapes and family.

He was born in this county June 15, 1876, a son of Otto and Sarah (Williams) Bruett. He was married Jan 28, 1903 to Alta White. They were parents of a son and a daughter. The wife and mother died in 1945.

He was a member of the Early Chapel church.

Surviving are the son, Walter Bruett and the daughter, Mrs. Ralph Mapes, both of Winterset; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Laura Reed of Winterset.

Funeral services will be held this Friday from the Winterset Christian church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Robert A Owens. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
