Lloyd F. Jones, member of a well-known Scott township family, died last Wednesday, Oct 12 (1960) at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 69 years of age.

Mr. Jones was a life-time resident of this community. He was born in Scott township July 1, 1891, a son of Andrew J. and Katherine (Beem) Jones.

His life was spent in farming and he was a long-time member of the Madison county Farm Bureau. He was affiliated with the Zion Federated church.

Mr. Jones was married Oct. 8, 1913, to Margaret Picken of St. Charles, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Lyle Jones of Oelwein; five daughters, Garnetta Jones of Winterset, Mrs. Kathryn Ford of Blytheville, Ark., Thelma Jones of Washington D.C., Mrs. Geraldine Grubbs of Bouton, and Mrs. Doris Boots of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren; and two brothers Loren D. Jones of Winterset and Raymond A. Jones of Montana.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John E. Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
