BILLY TEMPLEMAN DIES IN MASON CITY

Billy Templeman, long time resident of Winterset, died Saturday at the Odd Fellows home in Mason City, where he lived since 1925. He was 74 years old.

Billy was known to all the old residents of Winterset. He was a skilled stone mason but for several years before going to Mason City he worked at chopping wood and clearing brush.

Two years ago after going to Mason City one leg was amputated. Gangrene appeared in the other leg recently and in a vain endeavor to save his life it was amputated. He rallied from the shock of the operation but only lived a few days. His niece, Mrs. Gregg Niblo, was with him the last three weeks.

The Rev. W. C. Porter, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, conducted the services Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Tidrick funeral home, which were concluded in the Winterset cemetery by the I. O. O. F. lodge.
