Mrs. Elsie Ellis Died On Monday

Funeral Rites Held Here on Wednesday, With Burial in Greenfield

Mrs. Elsie Ellis, a long time resident of Winterset, died in Des Moines Monday. She was 61 years of age.

Mrs. Ellis was the former Elsie Lamb, daughter of William and Kathryn Lamb, and was born in Chariton county, Missouri, on Feb. 6, 1884. She was married in 1907 to Bert Ellis, and most of her life was spent in Adair and Madison counties.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Prall of Atlantic, Mrs. Berline Wasson of Des Moines, and Mrs. Mary Grace Busch of Norfolk, Neb. She also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Scofield of Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Bertha Doane of Greenfield, Elva Doane of Des Moines, and Mrs. Ruth Holstrom of Davenport. There are three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday from Anderson's Funeral home in Winterset, and burial was made at Greenfield.
