HARRY KALE OF TRURO DIES

May 13, 1970

Harry W. Kale of Truro, a life-long resident of Madison county, died last Wednesday, May 6, 1970, at Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He was 79 years of age.

Mr. Kale was born at Truro Sept. 16, 1890, a son of Wilson and Alice Cummings Kale. He was married Sept. 8, 1921, to Mildred Boyd, who survives him.

He was a member of Gripp-Williams post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, at St. Charles. He was affiliated with the Christian church.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Boyd Kale of West Des Moines and Wilson Kale of Lewiston, Idaho. He also leaves five grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Shane of Indianola.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro, conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was made in Young cemetery at Truro.
