Robert F. Doud, 78, of Eagle River, Wis., died Sept. 5, 2003, at his home.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Johnston Evangelical Church. Burial of the cremains was at Greenfield Cemetery.

Bob Doud was born Aug. 27, 1925, to Mr. and Mrs. Leo Doud of Menlo. On March 3, 1947, he married Dorothy Jean Roberts of Winterset. Bob worked as a drywall contractor in the Des Moines area for 27 years. Prior to moving to Eagle River, he had resided in Johnston. He was a United States Navy veteran, having served during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Joe Handley.

He is survived by a son, Dennis Doud of Eagle River, Wis.; two daughters, Deborah of Lincoln, Calif., and Dawn of Hammonton, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
