IndianolaRuth M. Cooper, 86, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Thursday at Westview Care Center there. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at Peru Cemetery in Peru.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Madison County and had lived in the Lacona area before moving to Indianola 23 years ago. She was a homemaker and a certified nursing assistant and had worked for Indianola Good Samaritan Center before retiring. She also was an elevator operator with Younkers.
Surviving are a son, Ron Davis of Creston; a sister, Mary Ann Allsup of Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert.
Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
