Gerrye "Ger" Lynnette Horner, 46, of Greenfield died March 8, 2004, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Sat., March 13, at the Earlham School auditorium with Pastor John Bryden officiating. Burial was at Greenfield Cemetery.

Ger Horner was born Feb. 5, 1958, in Winterset. She spent her childhood in the Fontanelle-Greenfield area, graduating from Greenfield High School in 1976. She also attended Southwestern Community College in Creston for two years. After college, she spent time in Greenfield, Truro and Chicago, Ill. In 1987, she was united in marriage to Merle Horner. For approximately 14 years, Ger worked in Winterset at Parr and Eaton. In 1998, she and her husband purchased the Stuart Flower Shop.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lavisa Lorraine Pickens, Robert Thomas Pickens, Clyde Elwood Jameson and Kathryn Johanna Jameson.

She is survived by her husband, Merle, of Greenfield; one son, Brian; three daughters, Raechel, Miranda and Meagan; her father, Wayne, and his wife Connie; and siblings Gale, JoAnn, Ronnie, Renee, Dianna and Karen.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Kuhn Funeral Homes of Dexter, Earlham and Redfield.
