Eugene Charles Binns, son of Chas. B. and Emma Caroline Stone Binns, was born June 27, 1914 in Douglas Township, and he passed away at Hill Haven in Des Moines, on April 15, 1981.

He was a lifetime resident of Earlham and attended the Worthington Methodist Church.

Eugene was united in marriage to Alberta McDonald on May 4, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa. To this union one daughter was born, Emma Jean Bergman of Adel.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Alberta; one daughter, Emma Jean Bergman, of Adel; one brother, Lenard Binns, of Winterset; one sister, Doris Giles, of Waukee and a grandaughter, Kelli Jean Bergman.

Pastor Ray Richardson officiated at the funeral service on April 17, 1981 at the Collins Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
